ONE WEEK OFF!

Well folks, I'm gonna take a week off. I won alot of money the other night (from $38- $500+) and like most times I win money, I lost a bunch of it. I don't know what it is but when ever i win a bunch of money I usually end up losing some playing outside my bankroll drunk. This time was no different. Last night started great, I got 2nd in a $50 sit and go then 3rd in a $100 sit and go. After that i was really drunk and cant remember much about how I lost it all but I'm sure it was from horrible play!. So I have decided to take a week off of poker and regroup before I leave myself broke. So long . See you all soon.

I decided to play some .50-1 nl for a bit and won like 25 bucks and I left the table.

Well it seems that every time I switch accounts I have success. Offcouse this has nothing to do with the software, as I dont believe in that. However, perhaps it has something to do with my subconsous. I think the truth lies in my next beer.

Well folks, I lost all my money...... I lost it and it was nobodies fault but mine.....

I was thinking I may have to resort to actually buying in. But I logged into my account (bearcandy is actually under my girlfriends name) and low and behold there was $38.

So I will try and grind out some money there. Thank god as I don't like making deposits and since there is so much free money sites give away I feel dumb when I do.

Well as u can see I played a total of 3 dirty dozens last night and I placed 1st, 1st, 3rd. I think it is totally possible to win this thing as I was sucked out on or I would have probally won 3 in a row. Then its just one more. Anyways I will play again tommorw. I will try and play alot of them just so we can all get a good idea if its possible.

If any of u readers play on titan poker or any of the ipoker affiliates, then u may be familiar with what a "dirty dozen" is. For those of u who don't it is a sit and go tournament, with a buy in of $2.40. There are 2 tables of 6 players, the first 4 places pay out with 4th only being your buyin returned. Here's the good part. If u place 1st 4 times in a row u get $2000.

I will play between 5-10 of these tourneys a day (maybe more who knows) and publish the results.

NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND I CAN PROVE IT!!!!

I have in the past won plenty of money on poker sites, cashing it out and all without making a single deposit on that account.

For instance on this particular account I'm playing on now, gave me free 20 bucks about 1 month ago. That's how I got this money in the first place to play with. I played patiently and got 2ND in a $3 dollar re buy for $343. I promptly cashed out $200 and have already spent that money yesterday. I still left some on there and as we speak I have $125 there.

There was also the time I got $14 for free and cashed out $1400 plus....

There were others but that's not really the point. The point is it can be done and you can do it too!!

O.K Lets first start off with last nights playing (and I use that term loosely) I made it far in the 2 dollar re buy once again placing in the money but failed to make the final table, as some donkey called me with garbage and hit...... That left me up for the night (cash tables as well) I was up 25 dollars at that point, The problem was now I was drunk. So In my infinite drunken intelligence I decide it would be a great idea to play a $20 sit and go tourney. I get beat by some fish ( ITS TRUE I HAVE PICS!!) on some horrible call. Well that makes me angry, I must now win my money back... So I buy in again, AND PLAY HORRIBLE POKER. So I buy in again.......

Well 3 buy ins and 3 loses, I killed my Return on Investment percentage in sit and goes and was down over $60 bucks.

Well now is defiantly the time to play some 3-6 limit as i have about $120 total..... This all after I just wrote a article on Bankroll Management........

• Some how i managed to win a some back and leave at $145 for the night. Down only $30

Anyway I don't plan on drinking tonight I have my daughters birthday party tomorrow and I actually want to recoup some of last nights loses...

I have joined a $15 dollar multi table. 152 donkeys have joined (153 when u count me) and I plan on taking no hostages.

I have not been able to post video clips that are of any importance as they all seem to be over like 15 megs. That takes a wile and then it never works. Otherwise u would have seen some amazing hands in this 2 dollar re buy...... I went allin with jacks for about 7k and got called by aq. The ace hit and I lost. Leaving me only 1k in chips I went allin next hand i had 10-2 WELL 5 CALLERS and i hit a boat no lie I have it on tape and try ed to play it.

Anyway i have about 7k again, when i get ak, i go Allin, no messing around here. Buddy calls me. Turns over Aq and incredibly hits a queen on the flop. Well I lose it and start to type all kinds of nasty stuff into the bar. But wtf is this for real.... the rive is a golden king with shining armour.


So I promptly erase my line and simply type in D O N K E Y !

Well folks I have started playing for the night, I have also started drinking and I already mentioned how that can go.

I'm playing the same 2 dollar re buy tourney i played last night all though there are more players and the pay out is much bigger. So far I have bought in for a total of 6 times (and a total of 3 tall boyz) and I plan on doing the add on .... my flops seen is only 9 percent witch is really low yet I have had to buy in 6 times (3 double re buys) So I pose the question. All though I'm drinking it would appear im playing tight, does that mean that my play is bad because I'm drunk. The answer is quite simply YES.... I DO NT EVEN WANT TO POST THE HANDS I LOST.......

Well that answer can be simple and complicated.

Its because I'm retarded.

Or maybe its because I really have nothing Else to do to entertain myself while I'm at home having a couple beers. I suspect the answer is somewhere in between ( probably closer to retarded ) anyway it is what it is.

While I was writing this I had a somewhat interesting hand, I had aj in early position and raised it a little, one called and the other went allin. I folded off course and the flop was j43 .... I was against a5 and aq incredibly AND I WOULD HAVE WON! but im sure i folded correctly.... and most would argue I should have just simply tossed it preflop. I made the right play though I think......... LET ME KNOW WHAT U THINKThere are 169 out of 336 left wish me luck keep ya posted

Tonight after works session

I have just finished work, I had a pretty good day today. Last night when I went to bed to cuddle my girlfriend, to my surprise my baby was also in there! So i got to cuddle them BOTH!
What more can a father ask for. When I woke up today It was beautiful out so Caroline and Mackinzie and Daisy (the dog) went across the street to the park for a bit. All was good in the Begg house..... But the inevitable had to come, YUP U GUESSED IT I HAD TO WORK! so off I went to pay the man. All though work was not bad, it was defiantly something id love to avid at all costs.............. witch is why I will become a professional poker player one day. So here we go...


Tonight I will be drinking, I only have 6 tall boyz but I'm sure that's plenty enough to make my game not as good as it should be. NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER play poker drunk.

With that being said I plan on playing a 2 dollar rebuy tourney, 2 cash tables and a few sit and goes im sure will be thrown into the mix, I will keep u all posted on how my progress is going.

I'm still experimenting with that video program but if the hand is important and I have it on tape I will try to post it. I'm starting the session with a $170 bankroll. Wish me luck!!!

Article 1 Bankroll Managment

For my first article id like to write about bankroll management and u may wonder why I chose to write about this first and not starting hands or position and the answer is because I think it may be the single most important tool u have in poker. If u can master bankroll management your half way to never going broke!

What is Bankroll management??

Well the first thing to do is to establish a definition of what your bankroll is: Its basically money u can afford to lose. Don’t put any money into your poker bankroll that you can’t comfortably part with if worst comes to worst. Paying rent, putting food in your stomach, taking care of your health, and paying your bills should always come before poker. If they don’t, you’ve got much larger problems than an article like this could ever address and you probably won’t be playing poker for very long.

Second, let your bankroll dictate what limit you’ll be playing.

So what limits should I be playing at?

Cash Games: If you are playing Pot Limit or No Limit poker, the safe recommended size of your bankroll is 20 times the full buy-in of where you want to play. This means that if you want to have the best chance of making money at a $1/$2 game where the maximum buy-in is $200, you should have a bankroll of at least $4000. Another way of applying bankroll management is by only putting a maximum 5% of your entire bankroll on the table at any one time, which works out the same as having 20 times the buy-in for the game. If you like to play limit Holdem however, you should have 300 Big Bets as a minimum for the limit you wish to play at. Therefore to play $1/$2 limit Holdem, you should have a bankroll of $600 at least.

Tournament Games: It is recommended that you have a bankroll that will give you 40 buy-ins to the level of tournaments that you wish to play at. Therefore if you want to play at the $10+$1 Sit n Go’s you should have a bankroll of $440.

The guidelines noted above are very general rules that should give you the best opportunity to make money from playing poker without going broke. However there are going to be some exceptions and alterations depending on how and where you play.

Note: If you intend on taking poker up as your main source of income, the bankroll you would require will be substantially larger than 20 full buy-ins for cash, or 40 buy-ins for tournaments.

There are other things I could talk about like moving up levels and taking shots but I will save that for another blog one day.

I hope this helped, in the past I have had problems with bankroll management. Its really important to stick to the rules if u wanna be successful.

What happened last night

So last night after work alltogether I played 2 cash tables (.10-.20 cent nl) was up about ten bucks when I left those to blog. I also played the 2 dollar multitable rebuy tourney, where I made the final table but was short stacked (no excuse!) and placed sixth. I paid 6 bucks total for the tourney and won 53$ for a total profit of $47. I also played a 5 dollar sit and go that I placed second in.

It was a good night overall I stared the day at $96 and left off at $170 NOT BAD!

Afterwork I will try and write a little something about bankroll managment just because Its super important for all of us to remember and perhaps writing about it will make me follow my own advice!!

The video of my tourney

Hey all im back I just wanted to experiment with the video program I downloaded to blog with and see if it will work well. The video is of a 2 dollar rebuy tounrney im in right now, The first hand is awsome and I was glad I got it on tape. The rest is just me showing u what place people are in, stats ( notice flops seen percentage, u want to keep that low i suggest between 12-18 percent tops) and alot of folding. For the rest of the tourney i will just capture key hands and hopefully the final table. *disregard did not work had aq and doubled agianst qk when q floped

Wow it sure takes a long time to upload videos...... I will keep the rest of the clips short but perhaps show the whole final table (assuming i make it) Basically I plan on playing tight, but I will keep u posted on some interesting hands and what not.

Well so far this upload has taken like 45 mins so alot has happened in the tourney, So I may as well tell u about now. There are only 20 players left and that is in the money ( Dont clap yet, WE CAME FOR FIRST PLACE!) I will post the key hands from this tourney and perhaps the final table in my next blog, That is assuming im still alive after this upload is done......... But I refuse to cancel it now as its been so long. By the way 12 left..... 11 left...... ok IVE DOE IT IM THERE! also in the mean time i joned a sit and go im heads up there as well.... Whops i just busted there for second. Not too bad. You will notice in "final video number one" that I was playin both tourney at the same time thats why I am mentioning the sit and go.

Well the upload I have been trying to do for like 1.5 hours did not work (maybe to big) so I will show u the end of the tourney.

I had hardly any chips left the blinds were huge, I had barly played any hands and I wanted to get first place so I went allin. DONT JUDGE LOL

I think it was a horrible play as the other guy in the hand reraised me and I could have folded... Hoever I may have been pot committed. Im tired any way Im going to bed to cuddly my girlfrined right after this one upload works! PLEASE GOD WORK!!

My first blog.....

Well hi everybody I hope u all enjoy my attempt at writing as much as I will enjoy writing for you. With that being said I would like to start off by saying I decided to start a blog for a few reasons. 1) I think by writing about my sessions and recording some of them it will help me analyze my game better and overall MAKE ME MONEY! 2) I would like to help other players perhaps get better at poker so they can also make money. 3) I have always wanted to write about something and frankly all i do is work and play poker.





I will try and add as many videos and pictures as I possibly can in order for u all to get a good idea of whats actually happening. So since this is my first attempt at blogging im gonna try to add a picture and a video right now. The picture above is just of an interesting hand that happened on a .25-.50 nl table a week ago (great spot to be in eh!!) I raked a nice pot there, if i remember it was like 120$ or something around there.

Next I will try and add a video of me playin poker about a half hour ago (im still in the tourney, but left cash tables in order to blog) Well i dont know if that worked i downloaded the whole video but I think I backspaced the whole thing away lol.... I will work on it, It doesent matter much because i was playing 3 tables at once and had it on mini screens and the video was hard to see them all...
