Well as of late I have been playing solid poker, with little profit to show for it though. I have finished in the top ten 13 times since I switched to fulltilt. Sounds way better then it looks though as I have only one first place win, 2 second place wins, 2 third place wins and get this 9 wins from 4th -9th. So you can see the problem, all though I am winning I am not placing in the top 3 and tourneys are "top heavy" by nature. So here I am, even for the month.
Something exciting is gonna happen in Aug though. I will be playing a live tourney (only my second big live tourney). Its for the Ronald McDonald Charity. The event will be at the Dela and will have 150 players. The prize pool will be 10k. So the charity gets 5k of the prize pool money witch would usually bother me but get this. The first 100 tickets were sold to Ronald McDonald charity people who most likely are just playing for the charity. That means the field will be super soft. So I have no problem with the prize pool.
Also my buddy at work (thanks Mike I will make u proud) has agreed to stake me in. For the usual arrangement (he pays and if I win he gets half, if I lose he pays) So wish me luck and I will keep u posted on how and where I place!

Poker at alexs house
I have been playing well lately and it kind of payed off. Last night after I blogged I went on to place 3rd out of 240+ in a $3 tourney. That made my bankroll go from 8 bucks to $75 and that's what I like to see.
Now that I have a small roll and I don't have to worry about busting so much. I went to Alex's to hang out and play a little small buyin poker. I joined a $3 90 person tourney and lost (close to the money) so I joined another one as well as a $3 tourney with 270 ppl in it. I did not make the money in the 90 person tourney (close again 12th) but i did make the final table in the big tourney and busted in 8th when I took a calculated risk and went for it in a race situation losing.
I'm really happy with my play as of late. In the last 2 days I have made 2 final tables, so I'm close to the big money. Hopefully I will make top 2 soon so I can make a small cash out and pay my rogers bill with poker money.
As I am writing this I just busted from a $1 dollar tourney 110th out of 400 but in all honesty I was playing horribly aggressive for the last 15 mins as I think im all pokered out for the day!!

STILl GRINDING
Well tonight I joined 3x $3 90 person tourneys and a $1 tourney. In the $1 tourney I busted 230th out of 1150 but I played well and got sucked out on huge on the final hand.
In the $3 dollar ones I busted 20th, then 3 before the money and finally on the last buy in I kind of redeemed myself by squeaking into the final table all though I was on the small stack and had to push my first hand (55) I was up against jacks and failed to improve.
So as a result my bankroll is at $20 bucks!! its going down but not fast. Just the initial night was a huge let down since then I have done as good as can be expected.
Tomorow is my nieces birthday and I will be spending the day with family but when I return I plan on taking these donkeys to town!

Still grinding
Well I ended up losing both those tourneys in the last post, so i called it a night. At the end of that session I had lost half my bankroll ($25) so I had to regroup!
I had a session last night that went like this. I started with $25 and joined a few $3 90 person ko tourneys. I lost a few but made it to the final table on the last one knocking out 5-6 along the way and came out 6th for 9 bucks (first is like $72 I think) After all my struggling last night I ended up with the same as I started with.
So far I have had a losing session and a even session, so the only thing left is the wining session!
I joined "the Ferguson" its a $1 dollar tourney with a guarantee prize pool of 1k. Im doing fine in it so far in fact i quad ed up in the first 5 mins. I plan on also playing a few more of those knock out tourneys as well.
I will let u all know how I did tomorrow!

Since the last time
I have been meaning to blog more then I do but I keep getting busy, but anyway here I am again. Since the last time I blogged ALOT has happened. With the last deposit I actually did all right.
I almost got first (14th I think) in a nice sized tourney, it won me $60 but still a little disappointing as first was 1k. I cashed out $120 on my $50 dollar deposit. That left me with no money (bills again) up till tonight. I had to make a $50 deposit because like I have said before I cant make money if i don't have a bankroll. I had a few bad beats early, a set lost to runner runner flush all the money in on the flop and another one to a 3 outer, buddy hit on the turn after all the money was in. So I am playing well. Wile I write this there are 24 left out of 90 that joined in my $3 dollar tourney, as well at 87 left out of 225. OK I just busted in the $3 dollar tourney to some donkey that plays king jack like its the nuts but hey that's poker right!!! I HATE THAT EXPRESSION. I joined a $2 180 person tourney that just pooped up as well. I have $32 left in my bankroll assuming i don't win on either one of these tourneys. If that happens I will call it a night and play tomorrow. I hate it when I play well but have nothing to show for it at the end. BUT HEY THAT'S POKER! .........
