I have just read my own post as of last, wow I should have another drink!

We need to get back to basics!

Man I had an Epiphany, I need to get back to basics and before that always meant tghting up on my nl hold em game. Well folds I don't know why I have neglected my roots for SO long, and by my roots I mean FIXED LIMIT HOLDEM. Now that think about it, it was always there right in front of my face, like a overweight prostitute in a brothel that charges $500 a pop!

So What I have done is switching my whole play holy to fixed limit, why because for many reasons.

The problem being when I had this bright idea I was really drunk, so I will not be able to come up with the many reasons I had previously stated in the last paragraph.

So I will report about that shit later as of now I will put it to test with my 2 dollar bankroll!!

Steak Me In Baby!

So last we spoke I was in a points tourney as I had no money online. 400 plus players joined and I was fortunate to win 6th. The last hand (pic above) the one I got knocked out with was absolutely horrible and still today have a hard time believing that anyone that has made a final table would make this call! But I guess its a points tourney and even a blind squirrel can find a nut! After all my hard work I made 2 bucks for all my trouble.

When I got home I got home from work at like 2 in the morning, I decided to join a .60 cent tourney. First place was 2 bucks HEY I COULD DOUBLE MY BANKROLL!!

I did manage to get first in that tourney so now my bankroll was up to 4 bucks not bad from nothing.

Wile I was playing a friend of mine named Mike (not to be confused by the other Mike I have bloged about, from now on he will be named "young Mike") asked me If I would like him to stake me into a "big tourney" I naturally said sure and he deposited 100 on to party poker and provided me with his password.

When I logged into party there was no good tourneys going. I decided to play a $22 sit and go. I to 5th and played solid the whole time. In one particular hand I had 20 outs and missed, had I hit I'm sure this blog would be going in a different direction!

Well nothing was going on tourney wise so I joined a $50 cash table and watched a few hands. I noticed one guy in particular raising every hand so after a bit of this I decided to call with Jack king. The flop was king and 2 under cards of no significance. Naturally I check to the aggressive raiser. He offcourse bets and I promptly check raise him. Being the donkey he is he calls. I go allin on the turn he calls (with third pair) and I win a $90 hand.

Nice start but 2 hands later I get ak. I make it 3 bucks preflop and get 2 callers, one of them being the donkey of earlier. The flop is 66ace and buddy bets, donkey calls and I raise, they both flat call. The turn is a brick and I push. Buddy had a weak ace but the fucking donkey actually had 6-8 offsuit for trips (who calls 6 times the bb with 6-8?) any way I lost a big pot and am back down to $55

Not 2 hands later I get ak again. I make it 2.50 and get 2 callers once more one of them the donkey. Flop is ace 9 7 everyone checks to me and I bet. Then something interesting I get check raised and not by the donkey in question by a player that has been solid so far. He only raised me 4 bucks so I had to call. The turn was a brick and he insta pushes. I think for a bit, I think he has 2 pair or possibly a set. The only thing I'm beating is a weaker ace or a flush draw. I want to fold. I tell Mike (hes watching) I say "I'm gonna fold" hes like "naww hes bluffing call him" I really don't want to but its Mike's money. So I call and he shows me a set of 7s. Bang Im broke once more.

I played well with the exception of the last hand and I would have folded that had I not been told to call. Mike wants me to play "big tourneys" and I agree. Next time we will stick to that strategy! I am playing a $1 freezeout tourney right now on titan poker with my new found wealth my $4 I know I know "but Jamie is that not outside your bankroll" well yes it is but when your bankroll is $4 a freeroll is outside it!!

Whats happening now

Well I have not played in a few weeks as I have not had any money to deposit. I will have to deposit pretty soon as I need the extra income from the donkeys on the tables.

I did however deal in a charity poker event held at the Delta. It was for the Ronald MacDonald House, I think that is a good event to support as well as I get like $17.50 per hour. The tournament had 100 players and the buy in fee was $150 with re buys for the first hour. At around the 1.5 hour mark My table was broken up, So I wondered over to the other gambling room they had set up. They had black jack, roulette, poker vs dealer and crown and anchor. They were also waiting for 6 players to start a 1-2 nl cash game. I was lucky enough to be standing there when they needed a dealer and was sent to tell Vic (the owner of Fullhouse Rentals) Vic in turn asked Me and another guy who wanted to deal it. Well I spoke up quickly as I know the kind of tips you can make in a cash game.

I started dealing the cash game. I quickly wished that Vic would pay me now and let me in this juicy game as I saw a guy call 75 on the river with queen high! No worries as I was making a good hourly wage plus now tips the odd hand. All and all I really enjoyed myself and hope to deal in many more functions coming up.

So online however I'm broke so today I decided to join a points tourney on titan poker as I still have lots of points. All though 400 plus players joined (all for the first prize of $12) I was in first after the first break by 11k I had 36k witch has to be some kind of record considering you only start with 1500 but they are donkeys and I swear are just giving there chips away.

If i make it to 50th I make 12 cents and currently there are only 100 players left and I'm still in first by about 8k

So wish me luck and I will keep ya posted on how I did hey maybe I can win this thing and make some money from nothing.
